With all that is going on in America, where does one start with what to concentrate on? The ACA is a complete failure. Liberals will not even begin to admit it. Recently in the comment section of the local I asked " if the ACA so great, why won't the president allow it to be fully implemented?" I was not answered. Not surprisingly I might add.
We have a major scandal with the IRS and all the press can talk about is that Issa wouldn't let Cummings ask questions after the hearing was adjourned. No mention of Lois Lerner taking the fifth. She claims she did nothing wrong. Fair enough. But if you didn't do anything wrong, why do you need to take the fifth? It's quite a quandary.
We have Benghazi. Our ambassador was murdered there in case you've been in a cave. Here's a fun fact, the last time an ambassador was murdered was in 1979 when Jimmy Carter was president. Not really a coincidence as Barry is Jimmy Carter without the talent.
Now we have the Ukraine. Looks like Putin wants to get the band back together. Georgia and now the Ukraine. Call me Ishmael but I don't think Obama really strikes much fear in what Putin wants to do. That will be fun to watch.
And this is just the tip of what is happening in the erosion of DC.

Shave and a haircut is two bits.
Part of the problem with being born 100 years to late, aside from not being alive when women couldn't drive or vote, is also missing out on a time when the barbershop was the main meeting place for men. It's is where they met almost daily, not just for a clean straight edge shave, but to keep aware of the town happenings. The barber was a man you trusted with a sharp instrument close to a place on your body that bleeds very easily and where you don't necessarily want a lifetime scar.

We are becoming lost.
I decided to start a new blog for a couple of reasons.
The first is because I miss blogging. I really do. I miss the exchange of ideas the group that I followed had as well as the positive interaction and common views we all hold. I have found a few on facebook (or they have found me) and that has been wonderful, but I do miss being able to just go off and vent when I had the mood.
The second is because I wanted to dedicate a blog to what is happening to our great country. Though Crown on the Rocks (which is a great blog) covered some of that, this will be almost entirely devoted to what is happening to the politics of the United States.
We are in a free fall to social oblivion. The press is not only complicit but fully compliant to making us Russia without the breadlines (yet).
Expect opinion backed with facts, some swearing where needed, and lots of comments in parenthesis.
My goal is two or three good posts a week and will link them to my FB account and hopefully not get blocked from Zuckerburg for my opinions.
If you want to know about the title, google it. It's from a short story by Ambrose Bierce and was mentioned on the great series on HBO "True Detectives". Sidebar, my creative writing teacher at Malta High was a huge fan of Bierce. I liked him as well and stole his short story collection from the school library. Funny how Ambrose and I have come full circle.
Safe journeys,
